Great News! "God" is not dead; in fact, he's going on tour with Roger Waters! That's right; old man Eric Clapton plays guitar on Waters' new album "The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking", and he's touring the USA with Waters this summer. Hearing the great one play David Gilmour's guitar parts in some of the old Pink Floyd stuff ("Money","Comfortably Numb") is going to be very interesting. Lots of people have attacked Clapton recently for being too laid back, but on this album he plays with as much RAW EMOTION as anybody I have ever heard. The lead work on the title cut of this album put a lump in my throat like I haven't felt since the days of Derek and the Dom- inoes. Say what you want, but the man can absolutely blow away the current crop of Metal Morons when it comes down to what counts: getting the FEELING across.
