[comp.lang.ada] Tri-Ada Education Day Panel

pattis@june.cs.washington.edu (Richard Pattis) (05/22/91)

I am trying to assemble a panel for Tri-Ada 91 (San Jose, October 21-25)
concerning the teaching of Ada in CS-1/CS-2. The proposal for this panel has
already been accepted by the program committee. I am looking for a wide
variety of panelists who have taught these classes in Ada (and other languages
as well, to supply a better perspective). I'm especially interested in
getting at least one panelist who believes Ada should not be taught in these
courses.

The panel will run for 1.5 hours, sometime on Wednesday October 23rd (that's
the "Education Day").

If you are going to be at the conference and would like to be a panelist,
please send me e-mail. Include some backround on the course(s) you teach, your
experience with thses course, and other languages you have taught in these
courses.

After I select the panelists (because I know there will be a deluge of
volunteers :), I'll e-mail more specific information on how I expect to run
the panel.
