I will be making a presentation in January about TIL's. To open up, I would like to give a quick characterization of TIL's. That is, I would like to answer the question "If I have a language in front of me, how do I know if it is a TIL?" It's certainly not difficult to give a long-winded answer to this question but I am hoping for a brief, concise definition like the ones I remember so affectionately from college math texts. Are there any suggestions?
