The front cover features a drawing of those lovable, dilapidated creatures that can also be seen on the cover of "Dregs of the Earth", and the second side is a live recording from an early concert. (Their little musical spoof on the "Wabash Cannonball" was really cute.) I know for sure that "The Great Spectacular" is the first piece on the second side of "Dregs of the Earth", and that "Freefall" was the next album they released after that one, but if they had one out before "Night of the Living Dregs", I'd like to know about it too. ----- "He's weird, but he's stable. . #R:stolaf:-175400:uiucdcs:10800050:000:528 uiucdcs!nason Jul 1 11:47:00 1984 I've been trying to find a copy of "The Great Spectacular" for years and have had no luck. The best I can come up with is a live tape of the Dregs playing in Memphis with material that is not on any of the other albums. The one song that sticks out in my mind from this tape is "Disco Dregs", a hilarious takeoff on disco. I understand that "The Great Spectacular" was actually Steve Morse's master's thesis at the U. of Miami music school and that the album was never released publically. I don't know if that is true or not.
