Has anyone thought of having an Obfuscated Forth contest, somewhat along the model of the Obfuscated C contest? The purpose, to demonstate how NOT to write Forth :-). There could be prizes for the most useful one-screen program, the most useless one-screen program, the best one-liner, the hardest to understand, etc. It ought to be possible to outdo C at obfuscation, no? Just a random thought... Bng

The real challenge would be a clean FORTH contest: to demonstrate that you can write good code in FORTH. After all, who can beat the beauty of { 0 ' 1 ! }? Or everyone's favorite FIG-FORTH Boner: typing ":<CR>" and then hitting ";<CR>" -- -- Peter da Silva `-_-' ...!hoptoad!academ!uhnix1!sugar!peter -- "Have you hugged your U wolf today?" ...!bellcore!tness1!sugar!peter -- Disclaimer: These may be the official opinions of Hackercorp.
