This is one of the most original pieces of work I've seen in quite some time.
"After Hours" is a black comedy about this Joe Average guy (Griffin Dunne)
who decides to call a woman he just met in a coffee shop (Roseanna Arquette)
at 11:30 p.m. one weeknight. She invites him over ("Now?", "Yeah, now.")
From the moment he leaves his apartment uptown to travel down to Soho, he
enters a surreal nightmare from which there is no escape. To tell more would
be spoiling the story ...
I HIGHLY recommend this film. It's got a great visual style. Just be patient
with it - it appears to begin rather slowly, but it's only setting the mood
and definitely pays off!!
