*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR PLOT *** Let us not forget that November 5 is Guy Fawkes Day. Fawkes, Guy (1570-1606) Roman Catholic Englishman, hired by the Gunpowder Plot conspirators as an explosives expert while he was serving in the Spanish army. Arrested while setting explosives beneath the House of Lords, he was tortured and hanged. In England he is burnt in effigy on Guy Fawkes Day, Nov. 5. "The New American Desk Encyclopedia", Signet, 1984. To look for (obscure) connections between that and "Time After Time", remember that H.G. Wells was British. -- "If Chaos himself sat umpire, what better could he do?" Some English friends of mine say that they are not sure whether they celebrate Guy Fawkes because he failed to destroy the House of Lords or because he tried.
