[comp.lang.forth] newsletters

Getting away from the current Forth bash/brag war for a moment... HELP!

: HELP! ( -- )
   newsletter_editor?
   IF having_trouble?
IF ." Want to exchange articles?"
ELSE ." Want to contribute articles?"
      THEN
   THEN ;

Surely someone else out there is having as much trouble finding articles and
informative examples for their local Forth newsletter as I am! A few years
ago, FIG was sending out a newsletter and handout exchange, and it was wonder-
ful while it lasted. What newsletters survive? Anyone for exchanging over the
net? Not that I have all that much to exchange... but little bits add up.

Is anyone maintaining a Forth software library these days? Small, interesting,
portable or useful applications? "Why should I learn Forth? What does it do?"
"Well, it's really great!" "Ok, show me ..." Silence.

I have been able to use material off this list a few times, but it is getting
less informative by the day. Less bashing and more constructive info, please.
;-) :-)

Thank you all, -john

John Lundin was signator to this ( edited) piece.

John, if you will unplug from your VAX and plug
into the little jack in the wall and dial

		(703) 442-8695

you will reach the East Coast Forth Board, with some
60 Meg for Forth and related stuff.

If you are still not sated with the pickings from Jerry
Shifrin's exemplary board, shell out and join the GEnie
Forth Interest Group Round Table where, for $5/hr off-peak,
you may have your choice of about a gigabyte or two of
	Forth files.
