In the recent Amiga World buyers guide issue, the listing for J-Forth Professional was given and included a target compiler. Is this a pre-release announcement, or is this beast ready and available now? I'm a CSI Multi-Forth user, but will gladly jump ship to create smaller, faster executables using a target compiler. As you probably know, JForth has been out since 1986, with a turnkey utility but minus the long-awaited target compiler. I currently have a Beta of JForth 1.3 ( to be released as 2.0) complete with CLONE, the target compiler ... works great. The only thing holding up the release, if it has not happened already, is the mind-boggling job of proofing the manual. In any event, JForth 2.0 remains a fabulous, "holistic" environment for programming Amy!
