[comp.lang.forth] FPC and the BBL system

caasnsr@nmtsun.nmt.edu (Clifford Adams) (12/04/88)

The FPC system is now on simtel20.arpa. It is F8388 (based on
L&P Forth), with more features and bug fixes. Unfortunately, source
code was not included in the archives :-(. Since I *Really Want*
source code...

Are there any places that I can FTP the source code from? I
can't (easily) call the Forth BBS that was mentioned.

Also, the BBL Forth system from simtel20 is a 32-bit Forth for
the IBM-PC family. It is block-oriented. When retrieving the files
from the archives, I found that the file BBL_B.ARC.1 contained all the
files from BBL_A_ARC.1. You can save yourself 60+k of FTP time by
just getting the second file.

Finally, does anyone know of any good archive sites (besides
simtel20.arpa) for FORTH programs? FTP would be the preferred method
to get files.

	Thank you.
