At a recent meeting of the Board of the Forth Interest Group,
your correspondent was named Chpater Coordinator.
This is all very nice, but it would be interesting to affirm
that there are indeed chapters to coordinate ...
We would like to begin to supplement our mail contacts with
national and international net addresses. If you belong to a chapter
of the Forth Interest Group and would like to represent your chapter
electronically, please reply at the prompt ... :-)
Hopefully, every chapter in America will have a "designated
emailer", either on the net or on the Forth Interest Group's venue
of choice, the Forth Interest Group Round Table on GEISCO's GEnie.
Forth Interest Group especially wants to hear from overseas
chapters.
Remember, FIG is only you, the chapter members + one thin
bi-monthly magazine. Please do your part and contact the Chapter

Thanx to all Forth Interest Group chapter members who have
responded to our request to drop us a net address so that
we can begin to establish better communication with local
chapters.
We need lots more of those addresses, tho! If you would like
to represent your chapter internationally on line, discuss
this with your FIG Chapter then email me to become the
"designated hitter" for your chapter!
Thanks ... and remember, it is FIG's and FIG members'
responsibility to teach the art of FORTH because in general
academia isn't doing it ... though would be *most* interested
to hear of the exceptions to that latter rule!
