Does anyone know where I can find the text of the FORTH-83 Standard in either troff or TeX format? I've got a pre-formatted copy, but it doesn't print out right due to the weird method used to underline words, and I'd find it easier to read if it weren't in a single monospaced font. Please e-mail any replies -- I'll post a summary to the net. Thanks for any info!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adrian Ho a.k.a. After I posted a request for the TeX/troff sources to the Forth-83 standard, I received several requests for the formatted copy already in my possession. Unfortunately, I've deleted it to make way for more important stuff 8-). However, if you are willing to make do with a nroffed copy, here's how you can get it: 1) anonymous ftp to cs.utah.edu [128.110.4.21] 2) cd to /pub/amiga-forth 3) get Forth83.Txt.Z 4) uncompress and enjoy!! Note that the text contains backspaces and underscores to simulate underlining. If your printer can't handle backspaces properly, you would probably want to take an editor to the whole file. Also, the file has two control sequences at the beginning and the end (purpose unknown). Delete those too -- they could possibly muck up your print job..... In the meantime, I'll continue to hunt for the TeX/troff sources. While I'm on this subject, I would like to repeat my request for information on the above. I will post to the net when I get replies. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adrian Ho a.k.a.
