[comp.lang.forth] f83 STANDARD DOCS

JAJZ801@CALSTATE.BITNET ("Jeff Sicherman,CSU Long Beach") (04/10/89)

For us poor BITNET folks without FTP (like me), could some kind
soul who retrieves the F83 standard text file offered by Adrian Ho
please (pretty please) make it available via MAIL somehow. I would
prefer ARC'ed and UUENCODE because of local character set problems
(a CDC machine) but am somewhat flexible. Is it possible to make it
available as a file under this list at the LISTSERV ??

Also, please excuse my inadvertent, erroneous forwarding of another
copy of his message to the list. Fingers failed me.

I am negotiating for some extra disk space for FIGI-L for storing copies
of the Digests (collections of FIGI-L traffic) as well as program source.
The Forth-83 Standard document is a good candidate. I already have a plain
text-file version, but would appreciate any text-formatter input source.
If the file is longer than 1000 lines (which is almost certain for the
Forth-83 document) LISTSERV refuses to forward it to the list. It is more
appropriate to store the thing here and have those people that are interested
request it specifically.
I will press forward for the disk space, but at least a three week delay
is certain because my govt. supervisor (who is graciously paying for this
list) will be in Moscow for the next two weeks.
