Job opportunity for software/system development. Harris Semiconductor has several positions open for software developers for their RTX (Real Time eXpress) microcontroller family. They are looking for one senior software engineer or software manager to run their software program. They also need several people with either a CS or ECE background at various experience levels to design and implement software tools including compilers, debuggers, instruction set simulators, assemblers, microcode assemblers, and application programs. A knowledge of stack machines or Forth is helpful. This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a major software development effort. Harris is located in Melbourne Florida where living costs are inexpensive, and you can watch Space Shuttle launches from your back porch. Harris is also looking for one well-rounded system designer (hardware, software, demo programs, application notes, etc.) at the MSEE, MSCS, or MSCE level (or with equivalent experience).
