trolfs@vax1.tcd.ie (Tommy) (10/17/89)
I'm trying to collect information on FORTH implementations (PD and
commercial) for various computers.
eg.
PC : F-PC,F83,Fifth MAC : PocketForth
GENERIC : MVP-Forth, ComForth, Fig-Forth AMIGA : JForth, A4th
The aim is to compile a comprehensive list of available Forths for
most popular computers which will then be available to people
through OLIS (On-Line Information Service for Forth).
Any information on where to get such and such a Forth ( i.e. the one
that you have for your computer)?, how much it costs?, what it is
like?, is it any good?... etc. is gratefully accepted.
If you have any info, let me know by E-mail as the news here is not
reliable. Thanks.

Should have replied MUCH sooner. For the TI-99/4A - TI FORTH (FIG 79) Public domain - not quite complete as released, but lots of fixes available. Wycove Forth (no other info, except a Nova Scotia company) FIG 83 Complete commercial package, with one upgrade. Has more standard disk access routines. Sorry about this, but hope it is of use still!
