It uses 24 bit instructions and 24 bit integers with 56 bit multiplier-accumulators. It can address up to 64K by 24 bits of memory. The processor runs at up to 10.25 MIPS, can do 24 x 24 multiplies and accumulates up to 56 bits. This puts it above the 16 bit processors in dynamic range, but below the floating point parts.
