In a former position I worked on colorimetric instruments,
we used forth on the old AIM-65 and clones. Zip for memory
( 1K-4K RAM ) and the suckers screamed. It has been a
while, but I still think fondly of forth and play a bit
when I can. Forth experience has sure warped my work
in 'C'. Everyone should learn a completely different
language, it makes you appreciate the variety more.
