F[> I have the 1st edition of STARTING FORTH. Can someone(s) give me a
rundown
F[>of the differences between it and the 2nd edition?

Well, the 2nd ed. is Forth-83 oriented and not quite so specific
to polyForth. Appears to have a fair amount of general clean-up.
It also has a real index (as opposed to the Forth word index).

Frank, as good as Starting Forth is as a beginners' book, Kelly & Spies'
Forth a Text and Reference is ultimately a much more satisfying book.
And Martin Tracy's book Mastering Forth is also well worth a look.
