We are please to introduce our guest speaker for the January 18th Real Time
Conference on GEnie: Elizabeth D. Rather

Elizabeth has the distinction of being the first person to learn Forth. She
worked with Chuck Moore at NRAO, where Forth was developed. Elizabeth wrote
most of the early documentation on Forth, and helped introduce many people to
the language.

Elizabeth was one of the three founders of FORTH, Inc., in 1973. With FORTH,
Inc. she has served as director of engineering and software development,
headed marketing and sales, and has been President and CEO since 1982. She is
an expert in technical project management, with over 25 years experience in
computer software.

Elizabeth was one of the instigators of the current effort to develop an ANSI
standard for Forth, and is Chair of X3J14, the Technical Committee working on
the standard. She was a member of the Forth Standards Team from its inception
in 1977, and has participated in all prior Forth standards efforts.
