Recently there has been some discussion about how to make the Forth Interest Group better serve the needs of the Forth community. In particular, there have been some suggestions that Forth Dimensions be reoriented or split to serve both new and advanced users. How about using the SigForth group to complement Fig? Forth Dimensions is already well established and mostly supports intermediate to advanced users. Since one of the SigForth charters is education, why not have their newsletter take up the cause of helping out newer users? SigForth also has an advantage here, because they show up on ACM membership applications and such where they are more visible to the outside world.
