This is my first attempt at posting in this newsgroup, so please forgive me if I make any major boo-boo's. I am curious to know if there is any PD code out there in Forth-land that implements a Bulletin Board System. I am currently attempting to finally finishing learning Forth, and this is the project that I would like to do once I'm comfortable programming in Forth. On a related note, are there any code examples for doing X-modem, Y-modem, Z-modem, etc. type file transfers with Forth? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. -- Timothy A. There is a tree bbs whose pd code has been circulating for a decade or so, see _F83 Disk Library_ from Dr. Ting at Offete Enterprises. There is a Forth BBS program called ARIEL that is available for download from my bbs ( see my signature below ). ARIEL can be viewed on the hoof, as it were, on the author of ARIEL's own BBS, in Canada at 204-783-3650. >On a related note, are there any code examples for doing X-modem, >Y-modem, Z-modem, etc. type file transfers with Forth? Yes. These files are floating around the ForthNet here and there. Also, see back issues of "FORTH Dimensions" magazine. {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} {} jax@well ."
