Hi all, I've been getting 4-5 pieces of mail a week that are obviously intended for people on the otherside of the ForthNet link. We currently do *not* have email access into GEnie/xCFB's. I usually reply directly to the senders and ask them to reformulate their messages into material appropriate for posting. I've recently gotten several notes from people to whom I've been unable to construct a working return address, thus this note. -Doug --- Preferred: willett!dwp@gateway.sei.cmu.edu OR ...!sei!willett!dwp Daily: ...!{uunet,nfsun}!willett!dwp [in a pinch: dwp@vega.fac.cs.cmu.edu]

Since there have been a fair number of ForthNet posts going out with references to GEnie files in them, I thought I'd remind everyone that I'm willing to download the files and try to make them available on SIMTEL20. (I'm also trying to work out space on other sites, since SIMTEL20 will only hold files related to MSDOS, and a few other select machines). If anyone wants to volunteer space let me know. Thomas Rolfs' OLIS doesn't have the space for program source and binaries. For examples: Roedy Green's BBL/Abundance package is 1.8MegaBytes of .ARC file! The F68TOOLS package mentioned in a previous post will not be available on SIMTEL20 because the space cannot be spared for non-MSDOS stuff. -Doug P.S. Files which are uploaded to one the xCFB's don't show up on GEnie right away, and so aren't available to me for immediate downloading. If there is sufficient interest I can ask the powers that be to speed up the transferral process. --- Preferred: willett!dwp@gateway.sei.cmu.edu OR ...!sei!willett!dwp Daily: ...!{uunet,nfsun}!willett!dwp [in a pinch: dwp@vega.fac.cs.cmu.edu]
