It is a neat little game that I won't admit to playing as long as I did. I'm not real sure what the board size was from your code. It seemed in some places to be 20 wide and in others to be 10 wide. I used 20. I also used a random number for the next shape and where it started at. I also used some code words, and some defining words to shorten the code and eliminate a lot of the stack ops. Finally, I used a background task for the music, and used the "Entertainer" for the background melody. It alternates between your song and the "Entertainer" I've never used a Nintendo machine so I have no idea what the original is like. Thanks for an entertaining weekend, Gene --- ~ EZ-Reader 1.13 ~ ----- This message came from GEnie via willett through a semi-automated process. Category 6, Topic 32 Message 14 Fri Mar 23, 1990 M.HAWLEY at 21:03 EST Glad you had some fun with it Gene. The board width is 10 squares, but it takes 2 blanks side by side to make a square. So the board is 20 characters wide but only 10 squares wide. It would be nice to be to open a data file and store the high scores. The original has a choice of music typ [C [C [C [Cchoice of level of play, and a fast DOWN key to speed up the game when you've already got the piece lined up. I just read ( in BYTE I think ) that the Russian programmer who did the original TETRIS is coming out with a new game called TETWELL or something like that. ----- This message came from GEnie via willett through a semi-automated process.
