So gang, that's the end of the battle. No hearing, as
promised by Dennis Ruffer, Vice President of FIG and by two
other board members.
No charges even! Just, "You're fired, thanks."
BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS!
FIRST: The FIG Board actually *met* for the FIRST TIME
IN OVER A YEAR (to get rid of me, but at least it's a start!)
SECOND: THERE WILL BE ELECTIONS!!! Dennis Ruffer swears
that the WHOLE BOARD is going up for election and that the
announcements pertaining to the nominating committee are in the
JULY/AUGUST FORTH DIMENSIONS magazine.
We have seen how little these people's affirmation is
to be trusted. It's up to YOU, FIG MEMBER, to make sure they
carry through with FREE AND OPEN ELECTIONS of the ENTIRE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS of the Forth Interest Group. DON'T RELAX YOUR
VIGILANCE OVER THE NEXT SIX MONTHS!
Thank you all for your support ... "jax" lost the
battle, but the FIG Membership may win the war to be represented
by an activist, forward-looking Board of Directors. Onward!
