[comp.lang.forth] Far memory

There may be some who think this whole thing is going "too far", but I
say "far from it".

Elizabeth Rather, who chairs the committee (and who incidentally was the
world's second Forth programmer, after Chuck), was absent during the
preliminary discussions that led to the names "FAR-IN/OUT". She was
present the next day when it came up for a final vote, and everybody
had been very careful not to mention the names to her. We wanted to see
her face when she read the names aloud in preparation for the vote.
We weren't disappointed.
