Can anyone recommend a free or cheap Forth or small C cross-compiler to
run on a PC and generate ROMable code for the 8051 ??
 Thanks, JRS

        Lance ...

There are (or have been) a few 8031/8051 Forths floating
about. BRYTE Forth may be still availabler (commercial). There is
some group in Oregon that sell an 8031/51 Forth.

LMI Forth target compiles to 8051 targets.

FInc. (Forth, Incorporated) offers ChipForth for the
 8051, I believe.

I have never seen a PD Kernel for the '51 ... I am asked
about once a month about this.
