Re: MacForth and MACH2 messages

MacForth is a product from Creative Solutions, Inc. They have a SIG on
CompuServe that is as yet, not connected to the Forth-Net. We are working on
that one, but CompuServe does not look too kindly on its messages appearing on
competing services. Just the mere mention of GEnie over there has been know
to cause the cancelling of contracts.

MACH2 is a product of Palo Alto Shipping Company who does have a RoundTable
here on GEnie. I will go over and tell them that you asked and see if they
would like to play along. I could do some porting myself, but I will need
their permission first.

I'll check into it. DaR

I did this calculation recently, so I'll repeat it again.

                         1988 1989 1990
        General 11.67% 10.79% 11.15%
        RTC 4.62% 7.21% 11.00%
        BB 33.29% 24.99% 27.27%
        Library 50.41% 57.01% 50.58%
        Users/month 318 304 266

The users/month are averages per month and the percentages are what parts of
the GEnie FORTH RT these users are using.

Subject: What Ever Happened to the West Coast Forth Board?

 In article <3050@pbhye.PacBell.COM>
                  bjskelly@PacBell.COM (Bruce J. Skelly) writes:

 >Are they still in business, and if so does anyone have a good 3/12/24 number
 > Bruce

No, Bruce, the West Coast Forth Board folded its tent shortly after you
last reached them. North Coast Forth Board follwed suit a bit later.

Much of Forthnet is echoed on LMI's BBS 213-306-3530

if you are not West Coast specific the number for East Coast
Forth Board (Washington DC area) is 703-442-8695

You can also reach the GEnie Forth RoundTable from almost anywhere
in the U.S. and much of western Eourope and japan for less than the
cost of a long distance call.
