[comp.lang.forth] RTX stuph. . .

Hello All again:

I was dinking around with my RTX board again and finally got something to load!
I must say it's a bit of a patch, but here goes:

Instead of installing the changes mentioned in a previous news article on the
XQUIT and ABORT words to implement pacing using your selected Character, I've
made PC-talk go and pace on the "ok" that the board returns after a CR.
It seems to work fine at 9600 baud. The only problem I can see that would hang
me up, is having a definition more than one line long.
I'm still waiting to hear from anyone out there concerning this finicky board
and am contenting myself to add a bit of memory to it as well now. I've got
two Winbond WM2464-55 chips and have implemented a bit of logic to do what
the PAL does in the RTX expansion example. So far, it don't go, so how about
it? Has anyone done memory expansion on this beast? What have you got to say?
I'm very keen to keep slashing away alone, but it would be alot more fun to
get together. It doesn't really matter if I get it to go since the contest
is basically out of my range now anyways. I think if I found a comms package
that let me do Half duplex, I'd be ok. See you!
