Sorry that I did not post an approval note when you suggested RTF. I don't tend to post simple messages like that, and it escaped my notice that no one else had reacted to the suggestion. I'm also sorry that my note implied nobody had brought RTF up before, since the opposite is obviously the case (I wouldn't have remebered RTF without your previous post!). I tend to keep the TC members posting to Forthnet and the TC as a whole distinct in my mind, which has both positive and negative aspects. It seems to me that RTF *would* be better, since it would be readable by people without WORD and yet still readable by everybody with WORD. Also, I should think it would address the TC's concerns about readability better. As it stands now, a determined person can read the WORD format document outside of word, and will not get the formatting information the TC is worried about. Posting it in RTF would mean everybody who read it would get the formatting information. So, I am certainly one vote to recommend to the TC that BASIS 14 be posted in RTF. Anybody else? -- R.
