[comp.lang.forth] Where is the best net accessable source code resource?

nraoaoc@nmt.edu (Daniel Briggs) (09/09/90)

Just a quickie question. I know of several bulletin boards that have
considerable libraries of forth source code. Unfortunately, I now live
several states away from the nearest of them. Is there any internet
accessable location that maintains such libraries?

Thanks for any help!

Since the answer to your question is of general interest, I'm posting my
reply.

There are three answers:

	The archives at wsmr-simtel20.army.mil/wuarchive.wustl.edu, but
those only have MSDOS Forths that include executables (no source only stuff).

GEnie. FIG has chosen GEnie for its official eletronic presence.
In lots of places GEnie has a network access point that is only a local
phone call away. See almost any edition of Forth Dimensions for "how to"
information.

FNEAS. ForthNet Email Archive Server. Still under construction.
Charter is to start by mirroring the FIG library on GEnie. Details will
follow when they are available.
