[comp.lang.forth] Jib Ray */+ Stackworks FORTH systems?

Hey!

Can anyone remember two products from the past . . .

Jib Ray FORTH And/or Stack Works FORTH

??????????????????????????????????????????

Well, if you do (these are CP/M systems I think, so be careful)
give us a little description of them, and let us know where they are
today!? I'd be interested to see how these FORTHers have fared the test
of time. Since others have come thru the proverbial hell & high water . . .

Jib Ray FORTH started out as a z-80 FIG-FORTH. It was extended
to be ROM-able and support Muti-tasking & Host FORTH based up/down loader/
Terminal Debugger.

Clean implementation of all this functionality and save ROM image to
disk file attributes made this a pleasure to work with.

I personally supervised a Team that created a 8 task 48k ROM
Z-80 System back in 1983. This thing ran a DMA, prescaler HW counter bank,
48 pin i/o platform sensor/controller and a second "live" serial
Field Debugger Port.

I Taught one SW & one HW engineer to code and test for me and
produced product in record time/cost. Became Engineering Manager
in the Process.

By 1984-5 we bought the PC version and experienced transparent host shift.

Great product, $500-1000 Range but anyone could have made it.
I just wanted to help the pioneer and save time.

Yeah, the handout I have from the 1986 Forth Interest
Group Conventions (remember FIG Conventions?) gives the contact
party as:

	David L. Jaffee
	100 N. Whisman #173
	Mountain View, CA 94043
	(415) 962-6548

and claims support for: 8080, 8085, Z80, NSC800, 80x86, CP/M,
MP/M and MS-DOS.
