> We've tried in the past to > sell Forth as a branch of Zen Buddhism -- having failed at that I > don't think we'll do much better making it as mystical as a spouse. The point I was trying to make is that it is difficult to decide which of the many objective advantages of Forth are the most important. I would be hesitant to pick a subset of the good things about Forth and say "these are the crucial ones; the essence of Forth. The others are nice but not essential". I think that everybody would pick a different subset, and my comment about "tastes great, less filling" alludes to the fact that a lot of people have been declaring their personal "weighting functions" for various Forth attributes. My own weighting function for "desireable personal attributes" affected my selection of a spouse. That's what I meant about my wife. Mitch Bradley, wmb@Eng.Sun.COM
