SPOILER !!! I was SURE it was the janitor! I would really like to take another look, but the movie isn't worth it. At least that explains the typewriter, but why are the notes sent one at a time? Why not just send the whole thing at once? Aside from all the flaws and jerking the audience around, the story is built around an affair of two jerks. Having sent an innocent man to prison rather than expose the DA's evidence tampering, the Close character gives up criminal law and ... goes into corporate law!!! The Bridges character is a charming sleaze ball from square one. As for their affair, their chief attraction seems to be their mutual shallowness. Alas, another spiteful opinion from the keyboard of Jon. Gingerich
