I was watching this program on communcating with dolphins and the next thing I know they are demonstrating the dolphins doing tricks based on simple syntax remarkably reminiscent of FORTH. ie Ball Hoop Thru There was another example of rearranged arguments to a "thru-like" word, ie This That Do and to show the dolphins know how to work abstractly they would be told That This Do And the dolphins would "do the right thing" Sorry I can't remember the exact example. What really struck me was they used a computer "typeface" in the lower part of the screen to clarify what verbal commands were being givin, but the effect was like they'd type some FORTH in and the dolphins would process it, ( have fun doing so I might add ) and then come back with an ( ok! ) prompt.... Very interesting! Clyde
