I have been asked for an opinion of the book
_Embedded Controller Forth for the 8051_ written by
William Payne. I remember seeing a bit of traffic about
this book in the past few months, and I'd like to incorporate
the wisdom of those who have used or carefully read it
rather than just do a superficial job. Please be as
specific as possible.
-- Do you think the book was useful for a non-Forth expert?
-- Do you think the book was useful for a Forth expert?
-- What did you like about the book?
-- What didn't you like about the book?
-- Was the implementation approach practical? (I remember several
comments suggesting it was not up to state of the art)
-- Would you like to see similar books for other CPUs?
