Well, not quite, but close enough. Brazil is having a kind of mini- settling of accounts with its prior military dictatorship, similar to Argentina's. A General Cruz, who was head of military intelli- gence during the repressions of the recent past, and was dubbed "our Mussolini" by the president, is being brought to trial for the murder of a journalist in 1982. Originally on the general's payroll, the journalist found out so much about corruption that he feared for his life, and was in fact abducted, his body eventually washing up on a beach. Now there is a witness, a transvestite nightclub entertainer, who claims he witnessed the abduction. Bill Hurt, are you looking for another script? Only in Brazil? Ron Rizzo
