Someone suggested making a list of totally good movies. I trust that he will keep track of the nominations. Here are mine... Dr. Strangelove A New Hope (Star Wars Part IV (ie the first one)) Raiders of the Lost Ark Ben Hur An American in Paris A Night at the Opera The African Queen Mary Poppins I would add "2001", "Street Car Named Desire", "On the Waterfront", and "West Side Story", but I have heard these films bad-mouthed by otherwise reasonable people. Also, I was quite young the first and only time I saw Mary Poppins, but I was very impressed. If anyone has seen it as an adult looking at a childs movie and disagrees with me, it won't ruffle my feathers.

Are you nominating this movie in advance? Do you know something that I don't? Last I heard, Lucas will not be doing any more Star Wars movies. Has he changed his mind again? Shu-Ju

The original Star Wars was actually Part IV. The first three ( the clone wars) and the last three are yet to be made. The present trilogy is actually the middle part of a very large three part story. Lucas described the three episodes we now have as episodes IV, V, and VI of a nine-part series (which he may never complete).
