I have noticed recently that fery *FEW* employers are interested in "entry"
level people these days in the software engineering field...
(Guess what? I'm technically "entry" level.... Grrrr....)
I'm beginning to waonder if they realize what they are doing to the field?
There are very few people graduating that are getting *ANY* kind of jobs
in the software enginering fields- and I mean it.... Does anybody even really
care in this profession... I mean, I did what they say you're supposed to do-
go and do the thing you like doing... And now I can't talk *ANYONE* into
giving me a job... Sure- times are tough, that's still no good for the poor
person that hasn't got a job and has no experience- and they want it...

Mark my words- in two to three years there won't be any people to speak of
coming out of the Software Engineering/Computer Science fields- all they seem
to want is MIS people programming COBOL... And then they'll be screaming
for them and wondering where the people are...

Getting off my soapbox now,

Frank Earl, Master's of Computer Science Program, ETSU
