Yes. Yes. Yes. The movie is full of flaws. But I noticed something unusual in the opening shot. The Golden Gate Bridge was shown at late-day/dusk. In a matter of 30 seconds, the sunlight faded and the car and street lights came on. But the whole thing did *not* look like time-lapse photograpy. I watched closely, and it appeared as though it was the same cars moving over the bridge. How'd they do that? chris ...ihnp4!mtgzz!cwn

I noticed this too. The conclusion that I've come to is that they used a matte for the bridge/traffic and filmed that at dusk with a variable filter. Then they added that to a speeded-up sunset. Maybe AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER will cover it next month (this month's issue just arrived today, and doesn't talk about JAGGED EDGE). If it does, I'll follow up. Evelyn C.
