[comp.lang.forth] Thanks and yet another dumb question.

First of all I would like to thank one and all for your responses
to my question about object oriented programming.

Now for yet another dumb question:

QUESTION - How do you initiate an "Anonymous FTP"?

I use the FTP facility to move files from one system to another but
I had assumed that you were required to have an account on both of the
     systems involved.

If someone out there could dispel a little more of my ignorance I
     would be vary grateful (Again!).

     Thank you for your support.

     Ben Eaton

P.S. Yes I know assume makes an ASS out of U and ME.

To initiate anonymous FTP, you open the connection to the desired FTP site as
usual, e.g. "ftp wuarchive.wustl.edu", then respond "anonymous" to the user
name prompt and give your login name (and your host name) as your password,
and voila, you are logged in. Now you can go the the directary and download
files.
Hope I made it clear enough.
