During the height of Forth's popularity, a FIG-Forth compatible version was reported to be installed all major computer systems --- I recall the Cray being mentioned as one. Usually this meant a core based on FIG-Forth with enhancements. These implementations were usually written by experts in the particular system and were quite competently done. [Forth was once a "hot" language -- considered to be the "wave of the future" -- so it was widely implemented by first rate people.] Try contacting people who have been in the Cray community for 6+ years.
