Does anyone have experience with smalltalk on IBM PC equivalents? I have seen ads for Digitalk Smalltalk. Is it any good? Are there better ones around? If so, how expensive are the better ones? People I've talked to who have used Smalltalk-V have been favorably impressed with it. The price is very good, so it is quite reasonable to buy a copy and see if you like it. Smalltalk-V is not very compatible with Smalltalk-80, so it will probably be difficult to port applications back and forth. However, if you aren't concerned about that, it may not matter. There are some versions of Smalltalk-80 for ATs. Last I heard they were very expensive (>$1000) but that was a while ago.
