I may have missed some postings on this issue [I've always hit 'n' when I've spotted /V where I've expected -80], so apologies if this is a repeat: Does anyone have experience with 'UnixBrowser'? 'CommModel' seems to work fine (i.e., I can establish serial host-host communication). But selecting 'update dirs' times-out unsuccesfully. The problem seems to be with 'CommScript' in 'updateRootDirectory' and 'updateDirectories'. The first "reply, wait for character" sync seems to be ok (that is, it is succeeding), but further analysis (hacking) shows that 'reply: ' is not doing it's stuff on the Unix machine (in that I've sent requests for persistent changes but subsequent investigation draws a blank). If I force 'updateRootDirectory' to succeed then I get a similar problem with 'updateDirectories'. Any suggestions of where I ought to look next? Other info: I am running this on an Amstrad (single comm port); I have a consistent "frame error" from the Comm<somewhere> which manifested itself as a message on messageStream (until I commented it out) <- I have a feeling that curing this might just help!!
