I have recently received a mailing from Addison-Wesley advertising "Computer Books for the Professional". Included in the list of books offered is the following (new): "An Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming and C++" by Richard Weiner and Lewis Pinson "An Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming and Smalltalk" by Lewis Pinson and Richard Weiner There was an article in comp.lang.c++ that expressed disappointment in the C++ book. Has anybody read, or looked through, the Smalltalk book? Could you please provide me (and/or other net-readers) with your thoughts on the book (accuracy, readability, usefulness, appropriate audience, etc.)? How does it compare/contrast to the "Orange Book" (and/or "Blue Book")? I'll be happy to summarize reviews to the net! Thanks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ken Auer Paradyne Corporation {gatech, rutgers, attmail}!codas!pdn!ken Mail stop LF-207 Phone: (813) 530-8307 P.O.
