I am working, together with a colleague, on the design of an
architecture supporting the object-oriented style of
programming at all levels (including hardware level). My main
task up to now was the design of a virtual machine .There is
already a first version of its language (syntax and semantics),
but there are still for me some open issues , concerning the
related object model.
To mention a few :
** sort of the object model: message-driven, object-driven,
hybrid ?
** atomicity in execution or not ?
** synchronization mechanisms
** uniform treatment of classes-objects-methods as objects and
consequences
** inheritance
etc
Is anybody interested in discussing aspects concerning object
models from the theoretical and implementation point of view?
Or could you provide me with the addresses of such people?
I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks in advance
Angeliki (or Angela) Balou
