[comp.lang.smalltalk] build the definitive visual interface ...

bonar@pitt.UUCP (Dr. Jeffrey Bonar) (10/13/88)

Funded Pittsburgh area start up looking for skilled programmers with
object-oriented programming experience. Experience with human-computer
interfaces, visual interfaces, visual programming, interface design, etc.
all a plus.

You would be part of a team taking an interface design environment used
in university research, porting it from its Lisp machine beginnings to
real-world machines, and revolutionizing human-computer interfaces.

Our corporate mission:

"To create and deliver more powerful tools for managing
and creatively using information than the world has ever seen."

Our software system makes it very easy to build highly visual interfaces.
For example, something like the Macintosh Desktop can be implemented
in a few days. Programmers using our system build visual interfaces
to everything because it is so easy.

Besides the technical advantages, there are exciting social implications:
suddenly the look and feel of a program can be developed interactively
with developers, designers, end users, and management all actively
participating. The interface implementation process is so quick, it is
easy to experiment with many different versions.

If the above sounds exciting to you, and you are eager to work in a company
that is going to make it happen, give us a call.

If you are the right person, we will make the salary, etc. work.
