How to classify ST-80 programs
==============================

I'm in the middle of a project, and I need some new input/inspiration.

In the project we are working with the ST-80 system and hypertext; we are
working with reusability of programs, where program components (classes and
methods) are kept in a software library (based on hypertext).

Our aim is to organize the libary, so that the programs can be found quickly
and easily. To facilitate the retrieval, we have to be able to understand
what characterizes ST-80 programs (or object oriented programs in general). We
are aware that these characteristics are probable different terms than those
for e.g. languages in the functional paradigm, but at the moment we do not have
enough experience with ST-80 programming to say exactly which terms are
relevant.

The following two attributes seems relevant though:

1) Which FUNCTION does e.g. the methods perform (could function be further
   classified)?

2) What DATA-STRUCTURE are the classes working on?

I would appreciate if anyone would help me with some ideas,

Thanks in advance,
