...so I got home about 11:30 last night and I flicked on the tube.
The local news had just ended and "Nightline" came on bringing live
footage from...

...The Jackson's "Victory" tour in Kansas City.

I love it. ABC's award winning night-time "hard look at the news"
show, "Nightline", gets silly. No wonder ABC is taking it off the
air.

Do we have any Kansas City net.musicers who actually went to the
concert? How was it? ABC was allowed to broadcast little bits of
the concert.

Actually, I think they may have used "Nightline" as a springboard
to get people to notice "ABC Rocks", ABC's half-hour (and weak)
answer to NBC's "Friday Night Videos." Ingenious programming idea,
as I probably would have watched "Nightline" had I known that they
were going to be showing concert footage. I think it's kind of sad,
though, to see such a highly acclaimed news program being used to
attract viewers to such a fluff as "ABC Rocks."

"ABC Rocks" is hardly worth the effort. In a half-hour, they showed
I believe about four videos. Three were top-40 songs ("Legs", "Magic",
and "Eyes Without A Face") and one non-top-40 from Missing Persons.
Since I've seen all of them on MTV, I also noticed that they seemed to
be a little editted.
