[comp.lang.smalltalk] Smalltalk/V Mac, talking to the serial ports?

I would like Smalltalk/V Mac code (classes, methods, etc) to use
the serial ports. I mostly just want a means of reading and writing,
though a dumb terminal window would also be useful.

Also, is this the right forum for trading methods and such, or is there
someplace else (net topic, mailing list, whatever) more appropriate?

If you come by something, let me know. I was about to write something myself,
using Apple's serial stuff for HyperCard, but if something already exists...
