[comp.lang.smalltalk] gnu smalltalk with stix

cfj@isc.intel.com (Charlie Johnson) (06/09/90)

I'm trying to get the gnu smalltalk going with stix and when I do the
./mst -V t.st command, part way through the loading of the initial
methods & classes, I get the message :

Processing CFuncs.st
"CFuncs.st", line 44: Segmentation violation
Object class>>#isVariable
Object class>>#variableSubclass:instanceVariableNames:classVariableNames:poolDic
tionaries:category:
UndefinedObject>>#executeStatements
UndefinedObject>>nil

Do I just not have enough swapspace or memory or is there another problem??

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I had the same problem (on a PMAX running Mach). Please post the
solution, or at least
email it to me if it exists...
